Senior Home Care is What Our Elders Need

Senior home care is a service that we should feel grateful with because in the past, nobody can enjoy this kind of service. We will see briefly what has happened in our history start from the early 1900.

Early 1900 to the fifties

For people who have experienced living in the Great Depression, World War II, and World War I, it is very likely that they have seen people were begging door to door for food. They have seen how the stock market crashed in 1929 and heard the Seabiscuit famous races on a radio in the 1930s. Perhaps they have experienced the advent of social security as well as heard the Japanese attack on the Pearl Harbor when sitting down in the living room in 1941.

In this period, people also saw a ticker tape parade, ate mashed potatoes or pasta with grandma on Sunday, visited church regularly with parents, enjoyed big bands, went voting, and prayed earnestly for the Korean War to reach its ending.

There are many personal stories that can be added to this list. These people who have experienced them and still live to tell them are perfect examples of the resiliency of the human spirit. They definitely deserve recognition for the great achievements that they have accomplished. Senior home care is the least that we can do so they can enjoy their remaining days in peace.

The sixties

This is another new period where work and home were going relatively well, although freedom was still being formulated. There was a new war and the society went crazy. The concept of equal rights has started to become a reality. A president and other decent citizens were assassinated, while on the other hand a man has landed successfully on the moon. In the sixties, senior home care has not come into existence, but it was coming since people have started questioning about retirement.

The seventies and the eighties

Senior home care has become a reality when a generation, called the baby boomers, has started aging. This is definitely a good development besides of the retirement and social security program. This service is definitely very essential because there many elderly people, especially over the age of eighty-year old, who are still alive and active, which can be considered as a success story of human spirit.

You may never think about senior home care and its importance, but when you live to be eighty, you may be thankful for the opportunity to live at one of these homes and enjoy its services.
